ABOUT DAS INTERNATIONAL
DAS International Services Ltd is a wholly‐owned subsidiary of the Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS) and is part of the DAS Group of companies.
DAS International Services builds upon the recognised experience, competence and expertise of DAS who has provided services to individuals with learning differences for more than 30 years.
DAS International provides high-quality one-to-one specialist services to students in Singapore and the region who have a range of Specific Learning Differences, behavioural difficulties and developmental disorders as well as those students who struggle to learn so that they can achieve and reach their full potential.
DAS International provides a total solution for your child’s educational needs. We support students with learning differences and aim to close the gap in their learning. We can provide individualised programmes to empower successful learning for students from preschool to young adulthood. We, therefore, ensure that the level of service provided to individuals and schools in the region is of the highest standard using up-to-date and evidence-based resources.
Potential for organisational growth
While DAS provides support for over 3,500 students, it is estimated that there are 23,000 students from preschool to secondary school with dyslexia severe enough to warrant intervention. DAS is therefore at the tip of the iceberg in terms of our potential client base. Additionally, there is tremendous potential for growth in the region as well as support for clients who have associated specific learning differences.
Potential for individual growth
DAS has grown in size by five times in the last seven years. In a rapidly growing organisation, opportunities abound for staff who are willing to take on challenges and responsibilities.
Emphasis on professional development
While a not for profit organisation, DAS is first and foremost a professional organisation delivering professional services to our clients. Our emphasis in therefore on the continued professional development of ALL staff. Selected staff will also have opportunities for higher education scholarships as well as to pioneer research. A comprehensive training pathway is offered to our professional staff and further qualifications are available for those staff who wish to continue to develop in the field of special needs.
Staff who are on sessional employment will receive the same training as full-time staff.
