Ms. Oehlers-Jaen is the Head of DAS International Services Ltd and a Senior Educational Therapist. A part of the General Management Team at the Dyslexia Association of Singapore. At the same time she is also the Programme Director for On-site teaching under the Specialised Educational Services division of the Dyslexia Association of Singapore. She has been with the DAS for 9.5 years and has grown in her capacity from Educational Therapist. Ms Anaberta Oehlers-Jaen made a career switch from the Robinson's group of companies as Group Merchandise Controller to join the DAS in 2005 as an Educational Therapist. She holds a Masters Degree in Special Needs from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), BA( English Language and Literature) from SIM, a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education from the London Metropolitan University as well as a Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers (Dyslexia), along with Early Childhood Diplomas. She has Fellow status at RETA ( Registrar of Educational Therapists (Asia) and is also a Senior Educational Therapist. She is also a qualified trainer with the Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) by the Singapore Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ).


She has also been the Pre-school Manager of the DAS Pre-school Service, a service she is committed and passionate about and has nurtured. As the Pre-school Manager, she has been actively involved with Curriculum development, research, raising awareness amongst parents and teachers of children at risk of literacy delay. Ms. Oehlers-Jaen also held the position of Centre manager at the DAS where she oversaw the smooth running and student placement of the largest learning centre.


Ms. Oehlers-Jaen is actively involved in research and programme evaluation and has presented at conferences. Along with her colleagues in the Maths team which she leads, they have published in the Asean Pacific Journal of Developmental Differences (APJDD 2015) a research entitled "Evaluating the progress of dyslexic children on a small-group maths intervention programme" by Rebecca et, al. In 2011, she was invited and delivered a paper titled Support and services of Dyslexia in Singapore at the Specific Learning Disabilities 2011 International Conference in Hongkong. For her Masters Dissertation in 2011 paper in Special Needs she wrote a paper on: A Teachers Perspective: “Applying The Early Literacy Program as an Intervention strategy in promoting Functional Literacy”. Ms. Oehlers-Jaen understands that practice and research go hand in hand and sharing of information is important with others.


Ms. Oehlers-Jaen continues to look ahead in providing the customers of DAS International a high level of service in providing the best possible support for the child through assessments and consultancy. Adopting a multi-disciplinary and eco-systemic approach, through specialist support she hopes to share the same philosophy which she has embraced at the DAS as her personal ethos in helping all children achieve.
