Careers with DAS International
DAS International Services Ltd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the DAS. Capitalising on the recognised experience, competence and expertise of the DAS in providing high quality specialist services, DAS International is in a position to offer these services, and much more, to the wider community within Singapore and the region.
The Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS) is currently the largest provider of support services to students with learning differences in Singapore. DAS support services include psychological assessments, tuition, professional training, therapy and raises awareness in Singapore and the region. The DAS delivers professional training courses including a Master of Arts (Special Educational Needs) accredited by University of South Wales.
Why join the DAS?
Potential for organisational growth.
While the DAS provides support for 1710 students, it is estimated that there are 23,000 students ranging from preschool to secondary schools with dyslexia severe enough to warrant intervention. The DAS is therefore at the tip of the iceberg in terms of our potential client base. Additionally, there is tremendous potential for growth in the region as well as support for clients who suffer from associated specific learning differences.
Potential for individual growth.
The DAS has grown in size by five times in the last seven years. In a rapidly growing organization, opportunities are abound for staff who are willing to take on challenges and responsibilities.
Emphasis on professional development.
Whilst being a not for profit organization, the DAS is first and foremost a professional organization delivering professional services to our clients. Our emphasis is therefore on the continued professional development of ALL staff. Selected staff will also have opportunities for higher education scholarships as well as to pioneer research.
DAS International staff work when our clients are available. DAS centres are open from Mondays to Saturdays and late into the evenings. Some centres are also open on Sundays. Although staff work 44 hours a week, they must expect to be flexible in their working days and hours.
